As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Khan understands the value of promoting good oral health from a young age and guiding a smile toward a bright future. He’s thrilled to be a part of the team here at Coral Kids Dentistry and Braces and is looking forward to helping your little one with all of their dental needs.
For Dr. Khan, the decision to become a pediatric dentist was an easy one to make; he gets to help children and families alike overcome their fear, doubts, and uncertainties surrounding dental work. The joy and rewarding experience associated with earning the respect and trust of an anxious child makes the job well worth the challenges. He’d also always wanted to pursue a career that integrated his artistic side with his interest in patient care, and dentistry allows him to do just that!
Dr. Khan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto before heading to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry to complete his dental degree. Upon graduating from dental school, he was the recipient of several prestigious academic and service-oriented awards including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award. Following dental school, he completed his specialty training at the University of Toledo Medical Center, earning his specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master’s in Biological Sciences. Dr. Khan is also a member of the following notable organizations:
- Ontario Dental Association
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
A Toronto native himself, you can find Dr. Khan enjoying the city when he isn’t in the dental office. He likes spending time with his parents and brother, trying out new restaurants, and is a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors—he rarely misses a game! He also greatly enjoys learning new things and is currently honing his cooking skills, while also trying to become fluent in Spanish as well as sign language.
